Canvas
Traditional
untreated cotton duck is stocked in three weights. Canvas treated
with a fungicide is stocked only in 60" #10.
Unless instructed otherwise canvas
will not
be folded but will be shipped
rolled in a cardboard tube.
There will be an extra UPS charge for this oversized package.
The
heavy weight canvas is 72" wide #8. This is
the canvas I use on the larger boats, war canoes, square sterns,
etc. The rule of thumb I use is that any boat that needs 72"
wide canvas should be covered with #8.
72",
#8 (18 oz. per sq. ft.) - $5.50/ln. ft.
The mid-weight
canvas is 60" wide #10. This is the canvas that most
canoes are covered with today. The weight added by #10 canvas and
traditional filler is about 20 lbs. for a 16" canoe.
